HIGHLIGHTS The bug fix expected to roll out soon Alert slider might be made customisable soon as well Touch latency issue was reported on both OnePlus 3 and 3T While both OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones have been received extremely well by users as well as critics ever since their launch last year, a touch latency issue on the devices was reported by some users in December last year. It seems like the issue has now found a fix as Carl Pei, the co-founder of OnePlus, has suggested that it will be fixed soon with an update. Further, Pei seems to have suggested that the company is working towards making the alert slider on the phone more customisable. In a tweet on Thursday, Pei teased that the work on the bug fix regarding the latency issue has been completed but that the development on the alert slider is still going on. As per users on XDA Developers, Reddit, as well as the company's own OnePlus forum, the OnePlus 3 has been suffering from touch latency issues. Even though the issue was earlier thought to be limited to the original model, OnePlus 3T users also raised concerns over the touch latency issue shortly afterwards. For those unaware, the touch latency is the delay between the touch input and the response on the screen. As we mentioned in our earlier report, XDA Developers pointed out that typical latency on flagship smartphones is at around 50ms while a French reviewer claimed that the OnePlus 3T had touch latency of 93ms. At the time, Pei responded to the issue by saying that the company was looking into the issue but the Nougat rollout was the priority. Coming to the second half of the tweet, Pei seems to indicate that the alert slider will be made customisable by the company, as has been requested by OnePlus users for a long time now, reports PhoneArena.
